Built on a Simple Truth: Most Athletes Have to Recruit Themselves
Recruit Reels started nearly twenty years ago from one observation that still drives everything we do: of the 400,000+ student-athletes who earn a college scholarship each year, only about 2% are actively recruited. The other 98% have to recruit themselves — and most don't have the tool that matters most.
College coaches can't watch every athlete in person. They rely on video to evaluate, screen, and decide who's worth a closer look. We saw talented athletes getting overlooked not because they couldn't play, but because they couldn't show it. So we set out to fix that — to give the 98% a professional, coach-ready video that levels the field.
Nearly two decades later, we've produced recruiting videos for athletes across all 50 states and Canada, in nearly every sport, at every level from high school hopefuls to athletes entering the Transfer Portal. The technology has changed. The mission hasn't: we help athletes get seen by the people who decide what's next.
